Ellen Ardell Husby

Ellen Husby was born to Roy and Emma Steggall on Feb. 18, 1939 in Maynard, Iowa. She passed from this life on Dec. 12, 2016 at Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena, Texas. She married Roger Alan Husby in Waterloo, Iowa on June 10, 1967. After relocating to Baytown, Texas in 1979 she was employed by Unifirst until she retired in 2003. She was an excellent seamstress, who also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and photography. Her favorite sports team was the Houston Rockets and she followed the team closely each season. She is preceded in death by her husband Roger; son Roger Jr; grandson Daniel Lee Johnson; and sisters Helen Lamprecht and Alice Fisher. She is survived by her children; Hans Husby, Laurie Burns, Melanie Barnes and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Additional survivors include sister Maye Geiger & brother-in-law Glen Geiger, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Saturday Dec. 17th at 10:00 am.
