

Everardo “Eve” Hernandez, Sr., 40, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, in Refugio, Texas. He was born on July 31, 1984, in Baytown, to Juan Manuel Hernandez and Maria De Jesus Chavira. Eve graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, class of 2003. He went on to make his career as an instrument technician in the oil and gas industry.
Twenty-eight years ago, Eve married his Junior High Sweetheart Isabel Castellanos who was the love of his life. Together they made a wonderful life full of love and adventure. They raised four amazing children, and he was so extremely proud of each of them. Eve’s family meant everything to him.
Eve pursued many interests, some of which included fishing, hunting, riding his horse, or just being outdoors enjoying the fresh air. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Houston Astros, Houston Texans and the Houston Rockets. He could often be found watching or listening to a game. Eve was an amazing cook, whether it was on the BBQ pit or in the kitchen, there was not a meal he made that his family didn’t enjoy. He was fun and outgoing; he was known as the life of the party by his friends and family. Eve was a social butterfly, who never met a stranger he couldn’t talk to for hours. He also had a heart of gold and was always willing to jump in and lend a hand to anyone in need.
Eve was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Maria Chavira; his aunts Marina Cruz and Magdalena Rodriguez; and his nephew Jaiden Dominick Teran. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his wife Isabel Hernandez; his children Izaac, Izayah Cam’ron, Elyssa, and Everardo Hernandez, Jr; his grandson Rojelio Azael Hernandez; his brothers Juan Armando Hernandez and Diego Hernandez; his numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
