Ewing Kenneth Johnson, 91, of Katy, Texas, passed away November 2, 2019. He was born in Galveston, Texas on February 26, 1928 to Earl and Gertrude Johnson. He was married to Louise Johnson for 51 years and Anna Marie Johnson for 10 years.
He graduated from Ball High school in Galveston, Texas.
He worked for Santa Fe Railroad, National Life Insurance as a top selling agent, and Brown & Root Construction Company where he started as an electrician, retired as a plant supervisor, and he continued as a consultant after retirement.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in occupied Japan.
He served as a deacon at Second Baptist Church Baytown where he was involved in the choir, served on the maintenance committee, taught second grade Sunday-school, and volunteered for Vacation Bible School for many years. Upon moving to Katy, Texas he became a member of Kingsland Baptist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gertrude Johnson, his brother, Earl Johnson Jr., and two wives, Louise Johnson and Anna Marie Johnson.
He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Sandy and Herb Read, Jana and Mark Mayfield, and Jody and Monty Mayfield. He is also survived by two sisters, Jo Ann Winner and Shirley Pennington, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces and nephews.
