

Frank R. Blume, 74, of Dayton was born March 1, 1936 in Anahuac and passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 in a Houston hospital. He was a longtime member and good friend of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran. He always stood up for what was right regardless of the cost. He loved his garden and fishing was his passion, but he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren most of all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse, Sr. and Frances Blume and sisters, Doris Tedder and Edith Blume. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Opal Blume of Dayton; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kriss Blume of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Lonna and Jim Neff of Dayton; brother and sister-in-law, Jesse Lee, Jr. and Shirley Blume of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Angie Taylor, Justin Smith, Caleb Blume and Grace Hendricks; and great grandchildren, Casey, Blaine and Briana Springer and Elizabeth Hendricks.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 2106 E. James Ave., Baytown, TX 77520 with Pastor Paul E. Cleveland, Sr. officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Anahuac Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Caleb Blume, Derek Taylor, Mike Smith, Blaine Springer and Jim Neff.
