

Wayne was born on September 21, 1941 in Houston to Frank & Clarice Rogers.
He grew up in Houston and later he founded Electrical Contracting Consulting where he left a wealth of knowledge in the lives of aspiring electricians. His legacy lives on through powering many homes, buildings, and workplaces all of the country.
Throughout his life, Wayne was known for kindness, generosity, dedication to his work, and the warmth that he brought into every room. He spent over 60 years working as a Master Electrician, where he received numerous accolades for his dedication to the industry.
Outside of work, he enjoyed a local dance hall or at home tinkering. He was happiest when spending time with his family. He was always the guy behind the camera capturing all of his grandkids biggest moments. His granddaughters will always have the angles he gifted us each birthday. His sister will remember the bond that they shared growing up together, and his daughter will share the greatest piece of him…. His smile.
He leaves behind great friends, colleagues, and students, who shared great memories and laughter together.
Wayne cherished his role as a brother, father, grandparent, friend, mentor, and his greatest joy was teaching. His legacy continues through the lives of his sister Janis West, daughter Lori Cates, sons Kenneth Rogers and Daryl Roger’s, granddaughters, Savanna, Jordyn, Amy, and Emily, great grandkids Easton and Amelia Blackwell.
He is survived by his sons Darryl and Kenneth Roger’s and his only daughter Lori and son in law Shane Cates, his sister Janis and brother in law James West preceded in death by Frank & Clarice Rogers.
A visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, on November 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The family is having a private graveside memorial Saturday, November 22, 2025.
The family of Wayne Rogers extends heartfelt gratitude for the support, prayers, and kindness shown during this time. In leu of flowers the family asks for donations be sent to Hillside Church of Mont Belvieu.
