George worked for/ had a career in the Scaffold Building Industry for A & L Scaffolding, Atlantic Scaffolding, Brown & Root, Flour Daniel, Zachry, he was a migrant worker, comedian. He had a passion for fishing, crabbing, drawing, playing dominoes, rebuilding transmissions, loved fountain drinks, good food and spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Servando & Sofia Duran and loving sister Sylvia Ynfante.
He is survived by, his son George Ivan Duran Jr., daughter, Crystal Duran, five brothers, three sisters. Servando Duran Jr, Sergio (Claudia) Duran, Irene Duran, Eleazar (Vanessa) Duran, Fernando (Carolina) Duran, Diana (Anselmo) Garza, Sara (Alfred) Sanchez, David (Kristel) Duran, numerous nieces, nephews and a whole host of loving family and friends.
He attended Victory Temple Church, was an avid supporter of the Children's Orphanages ministry in Mexico his parents left behind.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Davita Dialysis Clinic & all the staff at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital, Navarre Funeral Home-Dignity.
We appreciate the love, prayers and support of Victory Temple Church, we are forever grateful to all the family and friends who befriended George, showed him love and kindness. May the Lord, bless and keep you.
The family will receive friends for the visitation and funeral service from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home on Monday, February 22, 2021, officiated by Dr. Rev. Charles R. Kyle. Funeral services are scheduled on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home with burial to take place at 11:30 am in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
Pallbearers are Abraham Sanchez, Jacob Sanchez, Sergio Duran Jr., Caleb Duran, Ramsey Garza, and Alfonso Ynfante. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Duran, Roman Garza, and Jose Angel Herrera.
