Geraldine ""Gerry Fisher Ashwood

Geraldine ""Gerry"" Fisher Ashwood, 82, of Baytown was born December 8, 1931, in Cedar Bayou and passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014, in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church and was very involved in her community and many different organizations. She served as Past Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth, Baytown Court #1; Past Mother Advisor, Order of the Rainbow, Goose Creek Assembly #80; Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Goose Creek #798; member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; and Past President and Past Supreme Marshall of the Social Order of the Beauceant, Baytown #153.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn ""Pete"" Ashwood. She is survived by her sons, Michael Ashwood of Baytown and Leslie Ashwood of Park City, UT; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cindy Reisner of Carrollton; grandchildren, Brandon and Amy Ashwood of Tyler, Leslie Ashwood, Jr. of Santa Rosa, CA, and Dustin Ashwood of Santa Rosa, CA; and great grandchildren, Ellis Ann Ashwood and Daien Ashwood.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, 2714 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77520 with Rev. John Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Ashwood, Leslie Ashwood, Jr., Wesley Gregersen, Steve Moorman, Chad Reisner, and Terry McCain. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Ashwood, Cletus Moon, Ray McCain, Stuart McCain, and Don Martinka.
