Gwendolyn Wright Thibodeaux, 81, of Ben Wheeler, TX, formerly Baytown, was born in Goose Creek on May 31, 1925 and passed away Saturday, Friday, December 8, 2006 in an Athens hospital. She was a graduate of the University of Texas and was a public school teacher in Baytown and Columbus before retiring. She was member of the Methodist faith.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, December 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Goodell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Wright and Pearlie Busch Wright and sister, Georgette Wright Moore and is survived by her husband, Louis Thibodeaux of Ben Wheeler; sister-in-law, Evelyn LeBlanc of Sulphur, LA; brother-in-law, J. T. Moore of Nacogdoches; niece, Pat Barkley of Sugarland; nephew, Jim Moore of Nacogdoches; and cousins, Robert Wright and Virgie Mitchell, both of Baytown, Ethel Davidson of Lewisville, and Marie Bell of Seattle, WA.
