Harold Michael Crawford

Harold Michael ""Mickey"" Crawford, 64, of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2008, with his family at his side. He was born on June 10, 1944, to Harold Eddie and Ruth Ellen Crawford in Dallas, Texas and moved to Baytown as a young child.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret, brother, Steven Crawford (Michelle) of Sugar Land, and mother-in-law, Teenie Donnelly, of Baytown. Also surviving are his children Clay (Angela) Crawford of Dayton; Kerri (Ray) Harvey of Baytown; Coy (Darcy) Crawford of Baytown; and Kelli (Craig) Kilcrease of Burnet. Also, Papa is survived by his grandchildren that he loved so much Derek, Dylan and Reese Harvey, Ashlee (Travis) Disney, Jared Moser, Chase Crawford, Jayde Crawford and Brennan Kilcrease and one great-grandchild, Travis Disney, Jr. Mickey is also survived, as well, by several sisters-in-law and their spouses, one brother-in-law and his spouse and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mickey was most proud of and found much comfort in his love for the Lord and the fellowship of his family at Pruett and Lobit Church. His greatest joy was his children and playing with his beloved grandchildren. Mickey coached and cared so much for numerous children in Baytown in Little League and YMCA football and basketball. He was an avid Texas Longhorn fan, loved cooking (famous for his pinto beans and chili), hunting and enjoyed reading, especially Texas History. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 14 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home. At his request, his remains will be buried at the Hornsby Family Cemetery in Austin, Texas, one of his favorite places, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pruett & Lobit Street Church of Christ Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
