

Howard Truman Isom, 94, of Baytown was born November 16, 1921, in Eddy, TX and passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016, in a local hospital. He retired from the Exxon Refinery and was a member of Baptist Temple.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Isom; mother, Madge Hillensbeck; wife, Edie Isom; and sisters, Hazel Kunze and Melva Roundtree. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Isom of Waller; daughters, Janet Harrelson and Karen Isom, both of Baytown; sister, Bernice Weaver of Spring; grandchildren and their spouses, Danny and Joanna Isom, Christy and Javier Barrera, Dr. Jeffrey Hale and fiancé Sabine Koehl, Jason and Lindsey Hale, Jam and Kristy Harrelson, and Katie Isom; and sixteen great grandchildren.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, January 14, 2016, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Looney and Dr. Melanie Jimmerson officiating. Entombment will follow at the Memory Gardens Cemetery mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Isom, Jason Hale, Jam Harrelson, Paul Weaver, H. L. Warren, and Calvin Bohannon. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Jeffrey Hale.
