Jacqueline Hanks Johnson

Jacqueline Hanks Johnson 86, known as Jackie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, after a short illness. Jackie was born March 18, 1939, in Houston, Texas to the late H. David Hanks and Pearl Richardson Hanks; she was the eldest of their four children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years J.T. (Tim) Johnson, and brother Wayne Hanks.

Jackie graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston and spent her early years working at Tenneco Corp. Upon her marriage to Tim, they moved to Baytown to start their family.

Jackie is survived by son Jeff Johnson and wife Nikki, daughter Jennifer Schubert and husband Thomas (TJ), grandchildren Courtney and Alli Schubert and Jacob Johnson, brother David Hanks and sister Jan Metcalf.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Cindy Thrailkill and to the caregivers of Visiting Angles for the kindness and support given to Jackie over the past several months.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas. The memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
