James Franklin Williams, 62, was born on April 5, 1954 in Baytown, Texas and passed away peacefully on April 11, 2016 in Houston, Texas after a brief battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lan Williams. He is survived by his mother, Sue Clay Hughey Williams, brother, Lan Williams, Jr., sister, Suzi Cantrell and husband, Dell, nieces, Laura Cantrell and Mary Clay Gebauer, and numerous cousins. Frank graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown in 1972. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1976. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing and watching the Astros. Known by some of his friends as ""James,"" he took great pleasure in sharing his barbeque with his family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1:15pm at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, 77038.
