He was employed by the city of Conroe, where he retired after 18 yrs. of service. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, ranching, and loved wildlife. He loved his family, the Lord, and attending church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sulula Childress; four brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Jacinto City Healthcare for the love and care that was given to Jesse for the last 8 years.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:00am, with a visitation beginning at 9:00am, at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, TX.
