

Everett, as his family and friends knew him, spent his early years in Baytown, Texas, attending Harlem Elementary School, Baytown Junior School, and Lee High School. He began his college career at Stephen F. Austin University, before graduating from the University of Texas.
Everett was a proud UT graduate and loved all things Longhorn. His first job after college was working for Senator John Cornyn, then the Attorney General of Texas, and he would have said that time helped shape his adult character. Everett spent much of his early life playing football, and football season remained his favorite season for the rest of his life. He was a deep thinker, and he loved looking at the intricacies of things. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time following financial news. And he loved playing the guitar, music was a passion. Most of all, Everett loved his family.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents Mary Susan Hamon Bloomfield and Boyd Larry “Corky” Bloomfield, his aunt, Susie Hamon, as well as his grandparents Susan Scott Hamon and Everett Dexter Hamon, and Susie Green Bloomfield Hudson and John Luther Bloomfield, and step-grandfather Cecil Hudson. He is survived by his sister Lauren Bloomfield Burns, her husband Andrew Burns, and their son John “Jack” Kelly Burns of Spring, Texas He is also survived by his uncle, Dexter Hamon of Clear Lake, Texas.
The family will receive guests at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521 on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 6-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial be made to Texas Music Project at texasmusicproject.org, or to the charity of your choice.
