Johnelle C. Wood

She was married to her true love, Bill Wood, for 65 years. Johnelle attended Lee College and then worked for Ashland Chemical until they began their family in 1957. Johnelle was an amazing and devoted wife. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life was wrapped around her family, and her love for them was endless.

Johnelle is preceded in death by her parents, Fred H. and Mattie A. Cansler, and her brother, Don Michael Cansler.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Wood; her 3 sons, Michael Wood and wife Yong, Lonnie Wood and wife Andi, Kimmy Wood and wife Cindy; 6 grandchildren, Bradley Wood and wife Brandi, Kimberly Holland and husband Scotty, Ashley Burgess, Shayna Wood, Shelby Wood and Brandon Wood; 7 great grandchildren, Emilee, Brailee, Harper, Ivy, Grady, Hayden, Luke; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Old River Baptist Church, 14948 FM 1409, Old River-Winfree, TX 77535. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Ronnie Webb officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Cedarcrest Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
