

Johnnie Cecilia Clayton, born in Baytown on March 11, 1935, passed away on November 26, 2015, in Austin. She graduated from Robert E. Lee in 1953 and was a Lee Brigadier. She and her husband Shelly Rice Clayton raised their children in the vibrant connectedness of extended family.
Johnnie loved camping, fishing, gardening, dancing, reading, and being outdoors. She loved to travel, and in her later years she made trips with her sisters and children to many different countries.
Johnnie is preceded in death by her husband Shelly Rice Clayton and son Richard Clayton; her parents, John Berchman Beaugh and Cecilia (Daigle) Beaugh; her brother Bruce Beaugh; and her sisters Nettie Hurr, Neva Casey, and Janelle Milner. She is survived by her children Linda Clayton, Chris Clayton, and Susan Clayton Luton and husband John Luton; her granddaughters Chris Luton McGee and Amelia Claire Tomjanovich and their respective husbands, Jason McGee and Trey Tomjanovich; and her great-grandtwins, Livia and Kingston McGee.
Services for Johnnie Clayton will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Earthman’s Funeral Home in Baytown. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Interment at Cedar Crest Cemetery will follow the service.
