Jose A. Hernandez

Jose A. Hernandez, 90, of Katy, formerly Danville, IL was born May 5, 1920 in Durango, Durango, Mexico and passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 in a Katy hospital. He was a member of the Catholic faith and the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Hernandez; daughter, Teresa Del Bosque; 1 brother; and 1 sister. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Juan and Maria Hernandez, Aurelio and Juana Hernandez, Agustin Hernandez, Javier and Sherina Hernandez, Jaime and Karla Hernandez, Robert and Delores Hernandez, and Martin I. Hernandez; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria I. and Harry Gill, Herminia Page, Marie Del Carmen Hernandez, and Antonia and Chad Smith; 4 brothers; 48 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, January 31, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Graveside services will follow at Hill of Rest Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Galvan officiating.
