Kathryn Faye Proffer

Kathryn Faye Proffer, 83, of Highlands, TX went to be with our Lord on January 11, 2018. She was born on May 5, 1935 in Fort Necessity, LA and moved to Clarks, LA where she graduated from high school.

She married Andrew Proffer Sr. in 1953 and moved to Houston, TX. She raised 2 children in Highlands, TX.

In the late 90’s Kathryn retired from GDS Engineering in Baytown, TX. She spent many years going to the YMCA caring for her great grandchildren. She belonged to the First Baptist Church of Highlands.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Proffer Sr.

Kathryn is survived by her brother, Harold Keene and wife Freddie Keene of West Monroe, La., her son Andrew E. Proffer Jr. and wife Gwen of Highlands, granddaughter Rachel Trawick and son in law of Baytown and three beautiful great grandchildren Jaci, Gavin and Nolan, and Ashley Hightower of Dodge, TX and children.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sterling Library for children’s books.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Holloway, Jimmy Pennington, Kirk Hand, Jacob Trawick, Don Windemiller, and Geraldine Holub.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Earthman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at Earthman Funeral Home.
