

Kathryn Barlow Roquemore of Longview, formerly of Baytown, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in Longview, Texas. She was born in Tyler County Texas on January 19, 1926 to Claude Barlow and Ruby Lee Hicks.
Kathryn was a devoted wife and mother. She met and married Bill Roquemore while working as a bookkeeper at a lumber company in Baytown, Texas and he was a young chemical engineer at Humble Oil. She spent many hours volunteering in PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and all other activities involving her children. She was an avid bowler, a dedicated Robert E. Lee Gander booster, a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a square dancer, and a children's Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William ""Bill"" Kenneth Roquemore and her sister Doris Claude Barlow.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Susan Logue and husband Keith and sons David Roquemore and wife Kristine and James Roquemore and wife Leslie. Grandchildren are Kristina Stewart and husband Justin, Stephanie Roquemore, Kimberly Logue, Kyle Logue and wife Brooke, Sarah Roquemore, Brian Roquemore and wife Queena, Daniel Roquemore, Daniel Tran, Kristina Tran, and Nicolas Tran. Great grandchildren are Aidan Stewart, Hudson Stewart, and Emma Logue.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Sunday, October 30 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating. Burial will follow at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
The family wishes to thank all who have prayed for Kathryn and have supported our family through her declining health. We especially want to thank the staff and caregivers at the Green House at Buckner Westminster Longview for their excellent and devoted care of Mom as well as the staff of Hearts Way Hospice. And, of course we praise God for His sustaining grace, strength, and comfort through it all.
