He was born in Goose Creek, TX and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Wayne most loved his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann. He loved to fish and hunt. His favorite thing was spoiling his grand and great grand kids. He also loved his dogs, from Sparkey all the way to Stormy and Allie.
He was preceded in death by his father: L.G. Cowley; mother: Inez Cowley; sister: Kathy Killen.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Cowley; daughters: Kim Davis and husband Doug, and Michelle Cowley Wilhite and husband Greg; grandchildren: Jessica Norris and husband Chris, Colton Brantley, Trey Davis, Spencer Ware, Hunter Davis; great-grandchildren: Westen and Emersen Norris; brother: Bubba Cowley.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10 am at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, with interment to immediately follow. Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Davis, Spencer Ware, Hunter Davis, Chris Norris, Doug Davis, and Greg Wilhite.
