

Leonardo H. Silva, 89, passed away peacefully in a Houston Hospital, Wednesday, August 20, 2014, with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Marcos and Maria DeJesus Silva, son Hector Silva, grandson Abel Medrano.
Leonardo was born November 6, 1924, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He worked for many years in the maintenance industry, also worked at High Port Industries for 21years as a forklift operator, finally ending his working career at Wal-Mart, retiring after 16 years.
Leonardo leaves behind his loving wife, Alicia, who he loved and adored for 35 years. He also leaves behind his grandchildren who lit up his life and gave him the strength to continue to fight through his treatment of dialysis so he could see them grow up.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Silva; sons, Ruben Escalon Jr., Leonardo Silva Jr. and wife Kimberly, Sergio Silva, Raul Silva, and Cesar Silva; daughters, Cecilia Medrano and husband Eliud, Maria Silva, Maria DeJesus Silva, Juanita Perez, Elizabeth Silva, and Martha Silva; grandchildren, Rebecca Medrano, Brandan Silva, Naomi Medrano, Marcos Medrano, and soon to be born granddaughter, Ava.
Also, many more grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Earthman Funeral Home with Pastor Arturo Martinez officiating.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
