

Leontine ""Teenie"" Donnelly, 92, of Baytown was born September 20, 1918 in Dickinson, TX and passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at home. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 67 years, where she was a member of the Altar Society, Legion of Mary, and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer and mentor at the St. Joseph Catholic School. She lived her life serving the needs of others, baking her delicious recipes, especially cookies for her grandchildren, volunteering, enjoying family, and helping raise three generations of kids.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, H. R. ""Dick"" Hornsby and John F. Donnelly; granddaughter, Dixie Lee Pond; and son-in-law, Harold Michael ""Mickey"" Crawford. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Stephen and Patti Donnelly; daughters and sons-in-law, Molly and William Verr, Dixie and Charles Patterson, Pat and Steve McAfee, Margaret Crawford, Janie and Richard Dolecek, and Ellen and Charles H. Cooper; several grandchildren, great grand children, and great great grandchildren; special friends, Larry Pond and Jon Reece; and extended family and friends.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1907 Carolina St., Baytown, TX 77520 with Rev. Dwight Canizares officiating with her great grandson Taton Pond as altar server. A committal service will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Hornsby Family Cemetery in Austin.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jay Patterson, Matt McAfee, Clay Crawford, Coy Crawford, James Donnelly, Andy Dolecek, Drew Dolecek, and Jonas Pond.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic School, 1811 Carolina St., Baytown, TX 77520 or the Hornsby Family Cemetery Association, c/o Steve Platt, 5611 Hwy 304, Rosanky, TX 78953.
Teenie was a devout Catholic, reciting the rosary daily, attending Mass and praying fervently. May she now know the true peace of our Lord and Savior.
