1949-2019
Linda Ann Phillips, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend went home to be with our Lord on September 29, 2019. Born November 2, 1949 in Pearsall, Texas. Preceded in death by her father, Robert James Farris, mother, Jannie Lucille Farris, sister, Jean Schneider, and other dear family members. She is survived by her loving daughter, Melissa Boudreaux, son-in-law Blaine Boudreaux, grandsons, Brendan Boudreaux and Brett Boudreaux, sisters, Connie Carmichael and husband, Steve, Judy Brandt, Rita Renfro, Diane Gosnay and husband, David, and many other dear family members and precious friends.
Linda graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1968 from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, TX. After working in the oil and gas industry for many years, she entered the law field in 1984 where she was proud to receive her Professional Legal Secretary Certification. Linda loved her family more than anything in the world and considered her greatest success in life to be her daughter, Melissa and the legacy of her family through her grandsons whom were her pride and joy.
Linda, also known as ‘Nina’ by her grandsons, instilled so much love and positivity as a mother and grandmother, full of encouragement and inspiration. She was extremely gracious and caring with a witty sense of humor and loved to ‘make memories’. Her heart was made of gold always thinking of others and how she could help. She loved to cook and tweak recipes, always cooking for an army even though the crowd may be small. She was a big movie buff and could recall names, dates, and storylines like no one else. Her love of books was evident. She could read a book a day as a child, and her shelves still overflowed with them. Her favorite book was her Grandfather’s Bible. She always kept it close.
We know that ‘Nina’ is home in heaven rejoicing with all those gone before. We will see her again through God’s saving grace! For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life -John 3:16
