Louis R. Martinez

Louis R. Martinez, 76, of Baytown, TX, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a kind, caring man who deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Louis will be remembered by his friends for spending time in his building, working on his projects. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and spending time in Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Alphonsa Martinez; son, Gerald Martinez and numerous brothers.

He is survived by his brother, Joe Martinez; sisters, Mary Ortega and Eva Garcia; wife of 25 years, Charlotte; daughters, Patricia Martinez, Yolanda Garcia and husband Gilbert, Cynthia Arnold, Maria Martinez; son, Tim Gnagy; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Earthman Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1104 Beech St. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Martinez, Marcus Martinez, J.R. Martinez, Eddie Rodriguez, Erik Garcia and Joe Gnagy. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Blevins, Robert Gnagy, Louis Gnagy and Chris McAlpin.
