Margaret Bernshausen

Margaret Bernshausen, 81, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on February 23, 2017. She was born on September 10, 1935, a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Channelview, TX, and loved to sew and visit with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bernshausen; daughter, Janet Stabler; sister, Carmen Trevinio; mother, Tomasa San Miguel; and father, Elias San Miguel.

She is survived by her sisters, Sarah Contreras, Doris Cappio and Helen Hernandez; brothers, Cecilio San Miguel, Elias San Miguel Jr., and Richard San Miguel; daughters, Sherrell Sargent, Rita Holbert, Rebecca Shaw and Jenny Bernshausen; son, Richard Bernshausen Jr.; grandchildren, Derrick Holbert, Nina Holbert, Taylor Holbert, Ashlee Bernshausen, Morgan Stabler, Courtney Grimaldo, Merry Tanner Shaw, Bryana Solis and Kayden Solis; great-grandchildren, Keagen, Shelby, Dillon, Kristian, Sophia, Jazibel, Gabriel, Xavier, Alex, Jovanic and Kiana.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Richard Bernshausen Jr., Wayne Shaw, Derrick Holbert, Taylor Holbert, Kayden Solis and Cecilio San Miguel.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at Earthman Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:00 am at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
