Margaret Hollaway Minter

Funeral services for Margaret Hollaway Minter will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00 am at Navarre Funeral Home. Born Margaret Danten Andrus on January 4, 1932 to Amon Manten and Dolly Hatley Andrus, she passed peacefully at her home in Baytown on April 6, 2021. She lived her entire life in Baytown. She had many interests, including spending time with family, gardening and fishing. She married Robert “Bobby” Hollaway after graduating from Robert E. Lee, and they settled in to raising their children. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known to play a few practical jokes on her kids throughout their childhood. As a member of Central Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School, GAs and Bible School for many years as a testament to her strong Christian faith.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her siblings: Amy White, Minyon Crist, Joyce Gold, her beloved twin brother Andy Andrus, her son, Jimmy Parker and her son-in-law, Randy Brewer. She is survived by her husband, R.M. Minter, her children and spouses: Robert Hollaway (Sheila), Gary Hollaway, Dolly Brewer, John Hollaway (Barbie), and Mark Hollaway (Stephanie). She is also survived by her stepsons: David Minter (Donna), Don Minter (Linda), and John Minter (Liz). Her grandchildren: Shaun Hollaway, Angela Hollaway, Amy Hollaway, Jeremy Brewer, Stephanie Brewer, Greg Hollaway, Alicia Hollaway Harris, Mark Hollaway, Jr., Brent Hollaway, Kristal Klafka, and John Parker. Her great grandchildren, Emori Danten Brewer, Connor Hollaway, Bradley Hollaway, Shaun Hollaway, Jr., Ross Hollaway, Asa Harris, and great-great granddaughter, Everlee Hollaway. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Ellen Hollaway and nephew Michael Hollaway and family.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, Baytown, Texas. Funeral services will take place Saturday, April 10th at 10 am in the chapel of Navarre Funeral Home to be followed by graveside services at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Wells officiating. Serving as pall bearers will be Margaret's grandsons, Shaun Hollaway, Greg Hollaway, Jeremy Brewer, Mark Hollaway, Jr., Brent Hollaway, and Michael Hollaway.
