Maria Olivo Barrientes

Maria “Mary” Olivo Barrientes, 70, born in Mathis, Texas, to Juan and Refugia Olivo has gained her wings and went to heaven to be with the Lord. Maria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Barrientes Sr.; son, Antonio Pena; and great- granddaughter, Nyomi Salazar.

She is survived by her loving companion of 35years, Hilario Macedo Villa; daughter, Patricia Pena; son, Jose Barrientes Jr. and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Marco Salazar, Racheal Salazar, Gabrielle Pena, and Hailey Barrientes; great-grandchildren, Marc Anthony, Joran and Caleb Salazar, Emmanuel Hernandez, Trae Salazar, Ace Salazar, Caidence Phinny, Amiya Godfrey, Robert Sanders Jr., and Ashaunti Marie Sanders; sisters, Adela Gonzalez, Eva Rodriguez, Janie Samora, Esperanza Ochoa, Rosa Samora, Sandy Soliz, and Ofelia Marroquin; brothers, Martin, Adam and Reynaldo Olivo.

Serving as pallbearers will be Martin Olivo, Ray Olivo, Adam Olivo, John Martin Marroquin, Eric Marroquin, and Rogelio Marroquin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at Earthman Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at Earthman Funeral Home.
