Mark Allen Newell, 63, of Sacramento, California, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Baytown, Texas, on February 13, 1962, to the late Emma Jane and Hampton Marion Newell. He has been a resident of California for the last fifteen years.
Mark pursued many interests, some of which included swimming and running. He was an athlete and participated in the special Olympics. Mark found great joy in being outdoors where he felt free. Although Mark lived with multiple debilitating disabilities, he always had a smile on his face and could easily light up any room with his bubbly personality. He never let the hardships in his life stop him from finding true happiness no matter the situation.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Michael Newell. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his brother and best friend David Newell; his nieces Arianna Peytona Newell and Stephanie Frances Newell; along with a host of loving friends.
The family would like to show their sincerest appreciation to his caretaker Chamli, who showed him nothing but love and compassion while she cared for him.
