Marshall Ray Mattingly, Sr. & Treva LaNell Mattingly

Ray was born on February 8, 1935 in Pelly, Texas. Retired from DuPont where he was called Gold Digger. In retirement, he loved working on clocks and was known as Father Time. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee class of 1953.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Treva LaNelle Mattingly, daughter Rayleen Mattingly Oliver, son Matt & Kim Mattingly. Granddaughter Shonah & Shawn Coleman, grandsons (Colby, Austin, & Max) Harris. Great granddaughter Shyanne Rouse, Brother Donnie & Anna Lois Mattingly, Sister Viola Joyce Fisher and numerous nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Jessie Herbert & wife Ida Mae Mattingly and mother Viola Pansy Mattingly, brother Jesse Hebert Jr. & wife Wanda Mattingly

Treva LaNelle Mattingly, age 82, went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2021 in Baytown, Tx.

LaNelle was born on October 14, 1938 in Freestone County, Texas. She received her LVN in 1965, worked as a floor nurse in local Baytown hospitals and then was the office nurse for Doctor Hugo R. Gonzalez in Northshore Tx. until 1972. In retirement she loved gardening, traveling, and going on day trips with her husband of 67 years, Ray.

She is survived by daughter Rayleen Mattingly Oliver and son Matt & wife Kim Mattingly. Granddaughter Shonah & husband Shawn Coleman, grandsons Colby, Austin, & Max Harris. Great granddaughter Shyanne Rouse. Brother-in-law Donald & wife Anna Lois Mattingly, sister-in-laws Joyce Fisher and Wanda Tisdale, along with numerous nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Ray Mattingly, Sr, parents David Marion & wife Irene Tisdale, siblings Florene & husband Thurman Padgett, Irvin & wife Bonnie Tisdale, Douglas Tisdale, David L. Tisdale, and JoAnn Marshall Cecil.

Services scheduled for 2PM October 16, 2021 at Earthman’s Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521. On-site reception to follow memorial service.
