I remember when we would talk everday in school and when we first met we hugged each other when we did not know each other. when i would see him he was quiet kinda shy that i remember. he was nice and was a good friend i dont really know why he would do this. well it was the easy way out, but i still love him as a friend.

Sandy...I am so very sorry bout all this...it still hasn't sunk into my brain and I still wish that everyday I will wake up from this nightmare. I loved Matt as part of the family and I loved him as much as I did you and Gay and Shannon and Kelsey..EVERYONE...Your a very strong lady and a great mother and I know you will get through this...I will cherish his picture forever and visit his grave all the time I can. You just dont know how hard it was for me, a 17 year old, to go to a funeral of someone they cared bout and was the same age. Matt, sweetie... it's been about a month now, and I thought, or at least hoped, some of the thoughts that have kept me up for weeks now would ease. Babe, there not. I'm not ok with this and i'm not going to lie anymore. I hate the fact that it just seems like i'm supposed to move on now.. and live the way I used to. I can't. I miss you and I love you so much.

matt...its been 2 years and 5 days since uve been gone. we went to ur grave on ur birthday. since it was ur birthday i didnt cry. but on sunday...i was just kinda quiet. im sure u saw that from heaven too. i didnt cry...i didnt want to...ive cried too many other times...y should i cry on that day...well i was fooling myself...and i held it in too long...i exploaded yesterday...i broke down in class, listening to the cd i made u, looking at pictures of us at ur grave...so to make myself feel better i started drawing...i didnt wanna talk to anyone so i kept my head fones on. i sat there for 3 hours drawing something about u. and i cried. no one saw me but i did. my hood was on my head and my hair was over my face...kinda like i always did in lunch and ud sit down next to me and pretty much make me tell u wats wrong. i guess drawing was my way of talking to u. but on the way home...i cried like crazy in my friends truck listening to that cd. i miss u so so fucking much. this has been 2 of the longest, weirdest, and hardest years of my life. i miss ur smile, ur voice, playing w/ ur hair, hearing the way ud say CIGARETTE, ur smell, ur laugh...everything. last year, i had a dream...about brad...it was like he came to me. and he told me that he was there to tell me something and to tell me that i needed to tell everyone that no matter wat him or u said...u both loved us all...even tho sometimes uve acted like yall didnt. i told shannon and she ... idk the look on her face. watever. im gonna shut up now. i miss you matty. i miss u so much. and i love you.

I saw someone who looked just like you not long ago. I almost started to cry. But then I remembered what you where really about. And I started to laugh. It's already been half a year. I remember how many movies we watched at your house. My mom always said, ""Why do the two of you like movies so much?"" She didn't get that watching movies and laughing was what we did. It was just ""us"". I miss that. 

I remember that time you came over at 2 in the morning because I couldn't sleep and I was sitting up reading when you called. You made me go outside in my pajamas and talk to you. I was SO cold. But you had that bright yellow jacket and you let me wear it.

I met Matt when i was in 9th grade.
I remember how he always used to tell how he wanted to get a drum set and he used to tell me that i sucked because i had one. He was one of the smartest guy I knew and he was really cool to everybody.

One of the many things I admired about Matt was his courage to be different in spite of what others thought. His purple spiked hair was legendary and symbolized his individuality. :) Please remember how special he was to us. Matt was a gentle spirit in a sometimes cruel world, but he always managed to share a brilliant smile no matter how life assailed him. Matt, You were my first true love. When i heard about this, i couldnt believe it. You were always the one keeping me alive. You would stay up all night trying to comfort me. I rememeber all of the times we wouldnt want to get off of the phone. We would put plastic bags over the phone so we could take a shower and still talk to each other.

I didn't want to believe this at first, I thought it was some sick joke.But then I saw his photo on a friends ID badge at school, and it hit me, it was real.I would have never figured this happening, a day after his birthday.I didn't know you very well, but I knew enough to call you a friend and a very good guy.I know you will be deeply missed and the love that people have for you will be carried on forever.You were a special person a very unique special person.I will always remember the times at sitting in casa ole' and drinking your coke and eating your chips with Selena and Monique at the table, and just laughing away.I shall keep these memories forever and cherish them as much as I will cherish the friendshop we've had and still have.

Illness, injury, love, lost moments, of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small test, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to no where. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience, help to create who you are and who you become. Even the bad experience can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trusts and importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back
Unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things. Make everyday count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything you possible can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talk to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for it you don’t believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make your own life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it absolutely no regrets. Most importantly, if you love someone tell them, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store. And learn a lesson in life each day you live. Today is tomorrow you were worried about yesterday.

I still remeber when i would see Matt at the Harbour with Dexter. They would always be up there at the front of the stage singing along with the bands and moshing with the rest of us. It was unforgetable. He was great, he had a great smile, i'd always see him in the hallways with his drumsticks beating away, his long,  reddish hair pulled back. I won't ever forget him. We love you Matt.
