Myrtle Viereck

She went to school in a little country school called Hacienda, then on to Sealy High School where she graduated in 1944. She was baptized in Sealy, Texas and a long time active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church since 1957. She married Gilbert Viereck in 1947 and moved to Baytown where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gilbert, in 1993; and son Craig, in 1981.

She is survived by her son Brian (Lori) Viereck, from Baytown Texas; her two loving granddaughters, Erin (Dalton) Owens and Emily (Clayton) Kirkland, all of Mont Belvieu, Texas; her sister Geraldine Stuessel; nephews Stephen Stuessel and Scott Stuessel, all of Sealy, Texas; and other nieces and nephews.

Myrtle loved to travel, crochet, play dominoes, participate in church activities, and being with family. She also enjoyed her Golden Group and outings with her friends at Birdsong Place Villas.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 10am followed by a funeral service at 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 712 Shilling Avenue, Baytown, Texas 77520. Then she will be laid to rest at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
