Nelda Yvonne Johnson

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Vernon O. Johnson, Sr., and her parents, sister, brother and great granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Don Ellis of Deer Park; sons and daughters-in-law, Barney and Lonna Johnson and Vernon and Pam Johnson, all of Dayton and Doug and Dorothy Johnson of LaMarque; grandchildren, Wendy and Wayne Knight, Kerry and Tiffany Johnson, Krystal and Lance Easley, Julia and Kenneth Felice, Craig and Nikki Straight, Clifford and Heather Straight, Leanne Bates and Sandy Gutierrez; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, August 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Holland Cemetery in Belton, TX.

Her family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Chris Hays for his special attention. They also want to thank the outstanding staff at St. James House of Baytown for their compassion.
