Norma Jean Vega Salinas, 62, of Baytown, Texas died on July 7, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 8, 1956 to the late Alexander and Angelina Vega. Norma was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She worked at Custom Cleaners for many years. She also was a substitute teacher with Goose Creek for many years. She also volunteered as a Harris County Clerk for Elections. Norma was proud to be a part of the Guadalupana Society and was a faithful member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She loved shopping, helping others and cooking. She loved her dog, Boss. She was the best cook in town and she opened her house and kitchen to anyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Guillermo Dragustinovis; grandparents, Jesus and Maria Marron; brother, Rodolfo Vega; sisters, Patricia Ann Martinez and Rosalie Vega. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Felix Salinas; son, Alexander Moses; daughters, Emily Burris and Christy Dragustinovis; stepdaughter, Jennifer Salinas; grandchildren, Derek Burris, Romeo Burris, Vicente Chavez, Clarence (Trae) Moses, III, Anndelin and Olivia Salinas; sister, Mary Carmen Mitchell and her husband Timoty; brother, Alexander Vega and his wife Cynderella. She had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers: Derek Burris, Romeo Burris, Timoty Mitchell, Joe Angel Vega, Manuel Xaiver Campos, Roque Gonzalez, Joe Luis Marron, Justin Vega and Daniel Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers: Clarence (Trae) Moses, III, Alexander Moses and Vicente Chavez.
