Patti was born in Baytown, Texas on October 23, 1955 to Patrick and Dorothy O’Sullivan. She spent her childhood days with her younger sister Jeanne, riding bikes, fishing and crabbing in the bay across from their home in Brownwood. Patti attended St Joseph Catholic school until her freshman year when she went to Robert E Lee High School. In 1973, she married Phillip Painter, her high school sweetheart and they soon welcomed their first child into the world. Over the next 50 years Patti and Phillip would have two more children and four grandchildren. Patti spent her career as a homemaker and devoted her life to caring for her family.
Patti loved to travel, especially on her many trips to New York City with her daughters. She thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and spent countless hours sitting on the porch of her ranch house. In recent years she had developed an affinity for birdwatching. Most days you could find her in the backyard with her Yorkie Abby, drinking coffee and waiting on the daily visits from her birds and squirrels. Everyone who knew Patti felt her big heart and giving nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Dorothy O’Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Phillip Painter, her children Melissa Boswell, Amy Rogers and Phil Painter, her sister Jeanne Dubose, her grandchildren, Ryan Boswell, Ashton Rogers, Bralen Rogers, and Rhylee (Bug) Rogers, her nieces Jennifer Sowell, and Maranda Miller and her nephew Brandon Dubose.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521.
