Ralph Herbert Manis

Born in San Antonio, TX, he lived in Wimberley, TX, as a boy. As a young man he worked for Houston Light & Power in Rosenberg, TX, where he met his future wife, Billie Jo Greenup. They were married on June 1, 1940. He was a longtime Baytown resident. He played baseball for the “Hot Water League” and was a member of the Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Billie Jo Manis; three children, a son, Ralph D. Manis; two daughters, Joan Harrison and Virginia Fortier; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great -great grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX, 77521, (281)422-8181.

Services will be officiated by Rev. Jerry Lyons.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be; Joseph Harrison, Chris Hankinson, Joe Fortier, Shelby Sheehan, Lee Fortier, Larry Jinks, Mark Hankinson, David Spear, and W.D. Harrison.
