Ramiro worked for many years in the Refineries. He loved to carve wood and make small spatulas, spoons, plates, and all kinds of small things. When he was younger in Mexico he enjoyed raising all kinds of farm animals, chickens, rabbits, and pigs to name a few.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his grandparents that raised him; by his parents; sons, Carlos Cuevas and Guillermo Cuevas; daughter-in-law, Graciela Cuevas; and by his brother, Jose Cuevas.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maria Cuevas; his children, Jose Cuevas and wife Angela, Bertha Cuevas, Ruben Cuevas and wife Maria De Socorro Cuevas, Rosa Cuevas, Rodolfo Cuevas, Lolis Cuevas and husband Roberto Villanueva, Pepe Cuevas and wife Hilda, and Laura Cuevas; and by brother, Rodolfo Cuevas; by 36 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Navarre Funeral Home. There will not be a graveside service following the chapel service at Navarre Funeral Home.
