Though born into an imperfect body, Rusty fulfilled God's perfect design of glorifying His creator as his natural warmth, his optimistic outlook, and his fun-loving spirit would encourage those around him to delight in their day and approach their fellow creatures more compassionately. Though restricted in his abilities, Rusty was gifted with the ability to marvel at the simple pleasures that slip by the rest of an unaware world. Those who knew him well no doubt reflect upon his love for music boxes, his devotion to his dogs, his desire to seek adventure and ""go someplace else,"" whether it be to visit precious family or take a ride around the block. As we reflect upon his life, we take a moment to treasure memories, knowing that the greatest gifts are often given to us in most unexpected of ways.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Andrus and is survived by his mother, Justine Andrus, sister and brother-in-law, Jaime and Larry Choate, and brother and sister-in-law, Tracy and Lisa Andrus, all of Baytown; special aunt and uncle, Ann and Gary Byars of Lynchburg; and nieces and nephews, Lauren Simkins of Austin, Shannon Simkins of Houston, and J. Ryan Townsend and Carson, Keilan, and Kaci Andrus, all of Baytown.
