

Ruthie moved to Baytown where she met her husband, Harold, and they were married shortly thereafter. They had a wonderful marriage for 49 years until his death. Her family and church were her greatest joys on earth. She was a Christian and attended Pruett and Lobit Street Church of Christ faithfully for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, brothers Dalton Hance, Clyde Hance, Joe Hance, Buddy Hance, Billy Hance, and sister, Velma Todd.
She is survived by two sons, Mickey Crawford and his wife, Margaret, of Baytown and Steven Crawford and his wife, Michelle of Sugar Land. “Mamaw” had five grandchildren: Clay and Angela Crawford of Dayton, and Kerri and Ray Harvey, Coy and Darcy Crawford, Kelli and Craig Kilcrease of Baytown, and Alex Crawford and Wyatt Beauchamp of Sugar Land, Texas. She is also survived by great grandchildren Derek, Dylan, and Reese Harvey, Ashlee Disney, Jared Moser, Chase Crawford, Jayde Crawford, and Brennan Kilcrease. Mamaw also had one great-great grandson, Travis Disney Jr. Also surviving are special sisters in –law Bonnie Orand and husband Willie of Abilene and Sue Williams of Baytown, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Crawford of Crosby as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the love and care given Ruthie by Jacinth Browne, and Sheila McLean, as well as the loving friends and members during these last few difficult years.
Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday October 1, 2007 at Pruitt and Lobit Streets Church of Christ with David Halbrook Officiating. Ruthie will be buried with her husband, Harold at the Veterans National Cemetery in Houston, Texas at a private ceremony.
