Illeen was born to George Wallace Farrell and Rosa Lavenia Poole Farrell, June 25, 1940, in Alexandria, Louisiana. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1958. She married Jimmy Norton in 1959, and they lived together in Baytown, Texas, for 66 years. Together they raised two daughters.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy Norton; daughters, Pamela Wilson and husband Russell, and Debra Spurgeon and husband John. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jennifer Liebrum and husband Michael, Timothy Wilson and wife Alexa, Katie Mixon and husband Trey, and Daniel Wilson; and great-granchildren Wyatt and Piper Liebrum, Jacksten and Kanaan Wilson, John Mixon, expected baby Mixon, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lavenia, her twin sister, Mary Alleen Farrell; brothers, George Wayne Farrell and Virgil Lynn Farrell; great-grandson, Weston John Liebrum.
Illeen was a believer in Christ. She loved raising her family, fishing, ceramics, reading, working on family genealogy, watching baseball and football, and she loved to play games.
Honoring her as pallbearers are Russell Wilson, Michael Liebrum, Timothy Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Wyman Norton and Wyatt Liebrum.
Services will be held at Chapel of Chimes Mausoleum located at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery 3919 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX 77521 on Monday, October 13, 2025. The visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a funeral service starting at 10:00 am followed by a committal at 10:30 am.
