

Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters, Lois Wright, Travis Findley, Thelda Chappell and a nephew, Gerald Wayne Peacock.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maggie Stone Chappell, nephew, Billy N. Young and wife Vertie Mae, two nieces, Ruth Trimble, Annette Hodges and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Seburn served four years in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed by Exxon Mobil for thirty-five years and retired August 1, 1982. He enjoyed many retirement years in which he fished, hunted, and played golf at the Goose Creek Country Club where he was a member.
Seburn was an active member of Second Baptist Church, Highlands, Texas from 1947 to 1989 where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher and on various committees. He became a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Baytown, Texas in 1989, where he served as a Greeter for many years and was a member of the Adult 7 Men's Bible Class.
Seburn was loved and cared for by many. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his long time caregiver Tina Lewis and the caregivers in his final days, Cynthia Moreno, Cynthia Phillips, Wendy Pierre, Crystal Elegon, Stacy Elegon, the staff at St. James House, and Faith Community Hospice.
A Memorial Service, with visitation immediately following, will be held on Wednesday, July 30th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas. He will be laid to rest at White Cemetery in Highlands, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Seburn's memory may be made to the Bereavement fund at Memorial Baptist Church, 600 W. Sterling, Baytown, Texas 77520 or St. James House, 5800 W. Baker Road, Baytown, Texas 77520 or the charity of your choice.
