Sharlotta June Pearce

Sharlotta June Pearce, age 55, of Baytown, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Friday, June 19, 2015. She was born to Ralph and Sara Welch on March 1, 1960. Sharlotta was born in Hobbs, NM and moved to Baytown, TX in 1969. She met her husband in October of 1982 and they married on May 4, 1985 and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They raised two beautiful daughters together. Sharlotta was a long time member of Memorial Baptist church where she sang with the choir and praise team for the past 12 years. She also served on the WOW Renovation committee with Memorial Baptist and was extremely active within her community and served on many community improvement projects. Some of which include the rebuilding of the roads and utility annexation in the Bay Oaks Harbor community and her involvement with the concreting and resloping of the upper section of Goose Creek. While not working in the community she enjoyed singing with multiple groups including gospel group God's Country, traveling, dancing, going out on her boat and spending time with friends and family. Sharlotta was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Welch and brother, Dwayne Welch. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Mitchell Pearce; her mother Sara Welch; daughters Chantelle Thibodaux and partner Ralph Garza, and Michelle Ramirez and husband Christopher Ramirez; grandchildren, Genevieve and Dennis Thibodaux Jr., all of Baytown, TX; nephew, Randall Welch of Carencro, LA.; wonderful in-laws, Ray and Judy Pearce of Lufkin, TX; Her beloved dog, Shadow Bexar and grandpuppies, Cookie Monster and Sonya Blade; as well as numerous family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Ramirez, Randall Welch, Ralph Garza, Phillip Juriczki, Henry Escalera, Jr., and John Shipley. Honorary pallbearer will be Dennis Thibodaux, Jr. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the side chapel at Memorial Baptist Church, 600 W. Sterling, Baytown, TX 77520. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
