Susanne Bogan

Susanne had a long successful career with ExxonMobil Chemical Company beginning with Exxon Research & Engineering Human Resources in 1981. She transferred to Exxon Chemical; Polyethylene Technology excelling through increasing levels of administrative support positions and was then promoted in February 2000 to Office Manager and Senior Administrative Specialist at Univation Technologies where she retired in 2007. Susanne was passionate about reading and volunteered in the Mont Belvieu Library bookstore a few days a week. She served on the Chambers County Library System executive board and as the President of The Friends of the Chambers County Library System. Susanne was a Girl Scout throughout her childhood and teen years and attended numerous reunions with her childhood troop #33. Her troop was recognized by the Girl Scout headquarters in 2023 for their yearly reunions and incredibly supportive relationships. Susanne loved Alabama College football “Roll Tide” and looked forward to the Crimson Tide football season every year. Her love of books, the Alabama/Florida beaches, crafting/sewing, travelling, family and friends were very much a part of what she loved in life.

Susanne was preceded in death by parents Carrie Andress and James Dennis Williams, sister Carole Hagood, and husband Roger Bogan Sr.,

Susanne is survived by sister Alice Bowser, son Roger Bogan Jr. and wife Dawn Bogan, Daughter Wendy Browne, grandchildren, Amber Browne and wife Jennifer Phillips, Ashley Browne and wife Morgan Patterson, Nicholas Bogan, and Joshua Bogan. Great grandchildren Kieran Browne-Phillips, Bennett Browne-Phillips. Brothers-in-law Leroy Bogan and wife Carolyn Bogan, David Bogan and wife Lisa Bogan, Sisters-in-law Dollie Rivison and husband Mike Rivison, and Bettye Bogan, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers please make donations of any size to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and/or The Friends of the Chambers County Library System.

The family is planning a celebration of life for Susanne sometime after the New year.
