Sylvia Ann Crain Lamb, 79, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Houston, TX. She was born in El Campo, TX on August 16, 1936. She was a lifelong resident of Wallisville, TX and graduated from Anahuac High School in 1954. She was an active member of Middleton Memorial United Methodist Church in Wallisville, TX. She also served as the Assistant Executive Director of the Wallisville Heritage Park and was a member of the Chambers County Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lela Mae LaFour Crain; her father, Howard Edward Crain; her loving husband of 52 years, Michael Rensselaer Lamb; and her brother, Durwood Wayne LaFour. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marla Lamb of Austin, TX and Lisa and Mark Peters and granddaughters, Marisa Kathleen Peters and Emily Ann Peters, all of Seabrook, TX, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Middleton Memorial United Methodist Church, 2241 Wallisville Liberty Road, Wallisville, TX 77597 with Rev. Kelly S. Krone officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallisville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Feist, Brian Hawthorne, John Jenkins, Dean Mengo, Mayes Middleton, Mark Peters, and Tommy Willcox. All her close friends and relatives were so very special to her. She loved you all passionately. Please consider each and every one of you her honorary pallbearers.
Her bright smile and warm heart made her the belle of the ball. She was always the person who would give you the shirt off of her back and was everyone's friend and mother. She has touched so many of our hearts and she will be impossible to replace. We will all miss her greatly, but are so very happy and blessed that she was a part of our lives.
