Viola was raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She was a loving wife of 28 year to Marvin Hill and a great mother to her children Kenneth and Tamara. She was an abet jewelry collector and maker. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. She and her husband have been loyal members of the Highlands Northside Baptist Church for the past 10 years. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin Hill; her children, Kenneth Danier Yonkers and Tamara Rae Yonkers of Michigan; her sister, Charlotte Howard and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 2, 2013, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Earthman Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Earthman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Wallace Chapel Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas at 1:00 pm.
