Wayne Jacobs

January 30, 1952 - October 25, 2016

Beloved husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.

Wayne was born and raised in Brownsville, TX. He has lived in Baytown, San Antonio and Dayton, TX.

Wayne worked in shrimping, construction and for the past 17 years as a Tugboat Captain. The water was his real love. His hobbies were fishing and hunting, but most of all spending time with his 13 grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Martin Jacobs; grandson, Michael Wayne Jacobs; and sister, Loretta Ann Jacobs-Witten.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia Jacobs; sons, Travis Jacobs, Jason Jacobs, and Kristopher Jacobs; mother, Betty Jacobs; sisters, Chris Tidwell and Janice McConnell; several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Brett Dillion and wife, Jessica, Jeff Dillion and wife, Emily; grandchildren, Jessi Jacobs, Tyler Jacobs, Landon Jacobs, Alissa Jacobs, Dakota Jacobs, David Jacobs, Kloie Jacobs, Kendall Jacobs, Laura Dillion, Owen Dillion, Charlie Dillion, Emma Dillion and Marshall Dillion.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, with a service to begin at 3:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Norris officiating.
