William “Billy” Maxwell, 75, of Baytown, TX was born August 7, 1931 in Kankakee, IL and went to be the Lord Sunday, November 26, 2006 while surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country during the Korean conflict while in the US Army and was a member of the VFW post #2775 in Orange, TX and a lifetime member of the NRA.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery with military rites. Rev. Joe Jones will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Willis, Travis Huffman, Mark Bookmeyer, Ken Bowers, Don Parella, and Owen Hodges.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Bettie Marie Maxwell of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Richard Willis of Crosby and August and Travis Huffman of Old River; sister, Kappy Maxwell of Deer Park; grandchildren, Morgan, Brooke, Korey, Landon, and Tyler; nieces, Pamela Bowers, Cheryl Maxwell, and Linda Maxwell Crawford; and beloved friends, Don and Trish Parella.
