Wilma Jean Littlefield Burns, 91 years old, of Baytown, Texas passed away in the early morning hours of November 25, 2019 with Family by her side. She was born in Goose Creek, Texas on February 24, 1928 to William Henry and Ethel Littlefield. She was married on June 25, 1947 to Fred Burns for 58 years at the time of his death. Wilma was a homemaker until at the age of 62 years old went to work at Robert E Lee High School in the Cafeteria for several years. She loved to dance, cook, sew and taking care of flowers and plants. Most of all, she loved her swing, she would sit outside for hours.
She is survived by 6 children. Son, Brent Burns (Brenda). Daughters, Jean Berry (Bill), Kay LaFour (Ronnie), Tina Gigout, Toni McBride (Burl) and Kim Jett. Surviving Sisters are Maudie Pack and Peggy LaBuff. 15 Grandchildren: Shane, Mark & Vance Berry, Dustin Smith, Beau & Chance LaFour, Ashley Dunlap, Kaylie Tobey, Byron, Brad & Blake McBride, Tommy & Jerad Jett, Chad Cauthen and Shelden Burns. Also, 36 Great-grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Fred Burns, a son, Fred Tyson Burns, two daughters, Callie Sue Burns Smith, and a Baby Girl Burns. Brothers: Billy Littlefield, Raymond Littlefield, R.M. Littlefield and Earl Littlefield. Sister: Doris McCarty.
Also known as Mudge or Dood and her greatest joy was being Grandma Mudge and Aunt Dood. She suffered with Alzheimers about 10 years and the advanced stage in the last year. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a week before she passed away. She was loved by so many. Anyone whose lives were touched by Mudge are invited to her.
Visitation 11:30-1:30 and Service 1:30-2:30 at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr, Baytown. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Garth Rd. Pallbearers will be her 13 Grandsons.
We would like to thank her Caretakers for the last several years of helping when we couldn't, Doris, Becky, Glenda, Darlene & Judy.
