

Wilton Ray Jones, 89, resident of Baytown since 1940, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005, in a Baytown Hospital. He was born December 3, 1915, in Bristol, Texas. He is preceded in death by the love of his life Eugenia Milner Jones, sharing 64 years of marriage. She passed away on January 23, 2005. He is also preceded in death by his parents Sam T. and Willie Jones and by a brother, Randall Jones.
“Uncle Wilton” is survived by nieces Dianne Milner and Jerri Milner Copeland and husband Calvin of Baytown, Yvonne Milner Kitchel and husband Wayne of Friendswood, and nephew Buddy Milner and wife Susan of Baytown, and their families. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Randy and Patsy Jones of Ennis, Gayle and Charles Shepherd of Plano, Nancy Spain of Dallas, and David and Susan Jones of California and their families.
Wilton Jones was a loyal employee of Exxon/Mobile for 40 years. He proudly served his country as a decorated World War II veteran in the United States Army Air Corp. His nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, his co-workers (Exxon annuitants in later life), neighbors, and a host of friends will miss his uniquely exceptional ability to share stories and memories of how he lived his life.
Services are scheduled at Navarre Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Billy Joe Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens with Military Honor Guard, presentation of The Flag to family, following with “Taps.” Visitation with family will be at Navarre Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. prior to the services.
Pallbearers honored to serve are great nephews Larry Kitchel, Jon Kitchel, William Brizzolara, Raif Brizzolara, Joel Copeland, Bryan Banker, Jacob LeBlanc, and Steven Klose. Great Nephew William Brizzolara will also sing.
The Family wishes to especially thank the devoted SEV caregivers who lovingly and kindly cared for Uncle Wilton and helped us through the difficult times of losing these two dear family members.
