

Aaron Scott Gibson, 40, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on Sunday November 29, 2015 in Beaumont. Aaron was born on October 17, 1975 to Samuel E. and Deborah Asta Gibson. He was preceded in death by a grandmother; Norma Asta, grandfather; Roy Asta, grandmother; Helen Gibson, grandmother; Jacqueline Reeves, grandfather; Howard “Buddy” Gibson, uncle; Kinnie Gibson, and cousin; Austin Jones.
Aaron is survived by his father; Samuel E. Gibson and wife Peggy of Lumberton, mother; Deborah Gibson of Beaumont, mother of his children; Kelli Tompkins of Lumberton, daughter; Patrice Gibson of Lumberton, son; Grant Gibson of Lumberton, brothers; Brett Archer of Boise, ID., Michael Redmond, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Peyton, CO., sisters; Lela Haswell and husband Rusty of Concordia, KS, Cherie’ Drew and husband William of Rolla, MO., Kathy VanLeuven of West Bend, WI, Kimberly Woerth and husband Cory of Colorado Springs, CO., and Amanda Coker of Kountze, TX. Also surviving are one uncle; Shannon Gibson and wife Melissa of Longview, TX, aunts; Trilby Reeves of Splendora, TX, Sherri Gibson of Dallas TX, twenty-four nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews, and four cousins.
Aaron was employed as a Safety Firefighter for Exxon-Mobil Corporation. He was involved in bodybuilding winning numerous awards and trophies in competitions and also helped and motivated others to do the same. He had the biggest and loving heart always worried about others. He was known simply as “ASG” or “AG”, “The Adidas Freak”, and also enjoyed rhyming and rapping, fishing, and being there for Patrice and Grant offering support.
Visitation will be held on Sunday December 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
