Mrs. Ann Oldham

Mrs. Ann Oldham, age 63, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Beaumont, TX. Services will be at 1:00 PM on March 29, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Oldham was born on May 12, 1950 in Beaumont, TX. Ann graduated from South Park High School, Class of 1969. She worked in her family’s business, South Park Auto Supply, for many years. She spent much of her adult life overcoming the challenges of Muscular Dystrophy. She succeeded in maintaining her independence, never allowing her physical limitations to detract her from an active and social lifestyle. She will be missed by her many friends and family. Ann was admired for her courage, determination, and positive outlook. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone, and was always ready to provide encouragement to those who needed it. She never met a stranger; they were drawn to her by her honest and caring personality. Ann was a wonderful mother and wife who always put her family first. She will be missed by many.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, J. Henry and Margaret Laurents of Beaumont; and brother Paul Laurents of Sour Lake.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Pat Oldham; daughter Leslie Stuart and husband, Grant of Beaumont; sister in law Sandra Laurents, of Sour Lake; and numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
